The Beatles leave to Washington by train. In the evening, the Beatles perform at the Washington Colliseum. 8.30pm. Brian and Dezo Hoffmann attend. The performance is filmed by CBS-TV. Arrival in London at end of tour.

The Beatles and Brian Epstein arrive in New York for a 10-day tour (Flight 101, Pan Am, 13:35). After a press conference at the Kennedy Airport, the Beatles are taken to the Plaza Hotel. Photographer Dezo Hoffmann is with them at both airports ard during the flight. George gets the flu.
Norman Weiss meets Brian Epstein in Paris. He arranges for the Beatles to peform at Carnegie Hall. The Beatles arrive in New York on February 7. Murray the K promotes them on the radio. Roll Over Beethoven.
